Hello, Stephanie Robotham here! I also go by the name of Steph Robocop, Robocopter or Robot - ham (lovingly given to me by some Radio Hillingdon members).
I love Indie rock / alternative music, and all things electro and clubby especially from the 80's/90's era. Although since being with Radio Hillingdon I have found some absolute Reggae treasures in our library which brought back good memories from when I was a little girl. That's what kicked off the Robotham's Reggae Rivival!
I have been a member of Radio Hillingdon since January 2010. Was greeted by Colin and Ed on the wards when I was a patient in 2006. They made me giggle and really cheered me up and I became a fan of their show! So when it came to me seeking a voluntary position at Hillingdon Hospital I was immediately drawn to Radio Hillingdon. The added bonus was that I have always been drawn to the mysterious world of Radio so it was a fantastic opportunity to gain the experience of volunteering for a brilliant charitable organisation and bringing joy to everyone too.
I enjoy being a member of Radio Hillingdon because we are able to provide entertainment to the patients and everyone in the community. It's a fantastic environment to be in, everyone is very welcoming and supportive, which has allowed me to achieve so much already, they are my Radio Hillingdon family and I love them to bits! It's always great to see the patients and to get their requests and the road shows are always a giggle.
I'm absorbing all of the fantastic experiences and looking forward to more years to come at Radio Hillingdon!
Catch my show every Sunday from 4 until 6pm including some reggae revival beats! Much love!
