I joined Radio Hillingdon in 2006 after bumping into a former colleague from a hospital radio station where we had both worked. He said he was now at Radio Hillingdon and that they were always looking for volunteers. The rest, as they say, is history.

Every Saturday during the football season, I present Saturday Sportsnote between 4-6pm. The programme features the latest football scores from the Premiership, all the other London league sides and our local non-league teams. It’s not just football, whatever sport is taking place I’ll bring updates and results. I also preview the sport action for the week ahead.

I take pride in trying to bring the listeners the latest sports information. It can be testing at times getting scores and scorers whilst keeping an eye of the music but when it all comes together then it’s great. Saturday Sportsnote is about keeping patients informed and entertained, sometime inadvertently.

I recently retired from the BBC and having worked there in both Sport and Radio I know where my interest in Hospital Radio and doing a sports programme comes from. Away from Radio Hillingdon I play outdoor and indoor bowls at Cowley Bowls Club and I volunteer weekly at a local Food Bank.
